The Tribe · Alumni Membership · Invitation Only
The expedition ends. The development doesn't.
The Tribe is the alumni community for participants who've completed an ETP weekend or higher. Continued mentorship from Derek and the guide team, early access to expeditions before public release, a private community of people who actually hold the standard, and a structured pathway from where you are now to where you're trying to go.
Eligibility: ETP graduate or higher · $50/month or $500/year · Cancel anytime
Re-entry is the hardest part.
You come back from a Cordillera Blanca traverse, a North Florida cave weekend, or a Colorado EPC, and within a week the inbox is full again, the gym feels softer, and the people closest to you didn't see what you saw. That gap between who you were on the mountain and who you have to be on Monday is real. Expedition cultures have a name for it. Most adventure companies pretend it doesn't exist.
The Tribe is built to close that gap. Not with motivational content. With a structured 30-day re-entry sequence, monthly leadership sessions with Derek, a private cohort channel that doesn't go dormant, and a clear next-rung on the pathway — so the momentum you earned in the field compounds instead of fades.
If you completed an ETP weekend or any expedition above it, this is what comes next.
02 // What's Inside
Eight things you get. None of them are filler.
The Tribe isn't a Discord with a paywall. Every deliverable below maps to a specific reason alumni asked for it during AARs and 30-day check-ins.
48–72 hour expedition pre-access
Every new domestic and international expedition opens to the Tribe 48–72 hours before public release. With 4–6 spots per team and Peru and Belize flagships filling fast, this is the difference between getting on the manifest and waiting a year.
Monthly leadership session with Derek
60 minutes, second Wednesday of the month, live on Zoom. Decision-making under fatigue, leading teams in real consequence, lessons from the field. Recorded for members who can't attend live. No outside guests, no marketing audience.
Private alumni community
Circle-based community with channels by cohort, by environment (mountain, water, cave), by region, and by progression stage. Moderated by guides. Where alumni post training updates, ask gear questions, and find expedition partners between trips.
30-day structured re-entry
Automatic on enrollment after your first expedition. Week 1 AAR call with your lead guide. Week 2 written debrief framework. Week 4 forward-planning conversation. Built specifically because re-entry depression is real in expedition cultures — and we won't pretend it isn't.
Progression tracking in the member portal
Your expedition history, training benchmarks, certifications, and recommended next-rung on the ETP → EPC → Expedition → Advanced → Guide pathway. Reviewed annually with Derek or your lead guide. The map is built for you, not sold to you.
Member-only field library
Long-form AARs from every expedition, gear breakdowns from the guide team, navigation and rope-system primers, training plans by phase. The kind of content that doesn't belong on a public blog because it assumes you've already done the work.
Pro-deal gear access
Negotiated alumni pricing through Untamed Tribe's partner brands — packs, layering systems, navigation, sat comms. Not a discount code dump. A vetted, expedition-tested gear pipeline you can actually rely on.
Annual Tribe Gathering
Two-and-a-half days, once a year, with the team and your fellow alumni. Field sessions, fireside AARs, guest operators from the broader expedition community. Members get priority registration and a discounted member rate. The closest thing this organization has to a reunion — by design.
Where you sit. Where you go next.
Membership in the Tribe is built around movement through the pathway — not collecting status. Whatever rung you're on, the next one is visible, and we hold you to it.
ETP Graduate
Completed a weekend Expedition Training Program. Eligible for membership. Next rung: an EPC multi-day in your environment of choice.
EPC Graduate
Multi-day skills and readiness intensive complete. Cleared for domestic expedition application. Next rung: Colorado alpine, North Florida cave, or Appalachian traverse.
Domestic Expedition
7–10 days under load in real terrain with a 4–6 person team. Anchor of the pathway. Next rung: international flagship — Peru or Belize.
International / Advanced
Cordillera Blanca, Belize jungle/reef, future Patagonia and Iceland. 10–14 days. The Tribe is where these manifests fill before public release.
Guide Development
For the top 5–10% of alumni. A structured pathway into part-time guiding with Untamed Tribe. Selection-based. Multi-year. The end of the line is the beginning of someone else's.
