For L&D Leaders · Operating Executives · Veteran-Led Firms

Your senior team won't learn decision-making under pressure from a hotel ballroom.

Untamed Tribe runs custom expedition-based leadership engagements for engineering teams, founder cohorts, and operational leadership groups who are tired of paying $4K a seat for ropes courses, simulated adversity, and consultants who've never operated under genuine consequence. We use real environments because real environments are the only place real capability actually shows up.

01 // The Problem You Already Know

You've paid for the offsite. You watched it not stick.

FranklinCovey, ropes courses, escape rooms, Whistler retreats with a paintball afternoon. The keynote was sharp. The breakouts were thoughtful. Your VPs came back energized for about ten business days.

Then a real production incident hit, a key engineer threatened to leave, a board meeting went sideways — and the same patterns showed up. The same person froze. The same person took over. The same person disappeared. Nothing actually changed because nothing was ever tested.

Leadership development without consequence is theater. We're not interested in theater.

02 // The Untamed Tribe Difference

Where your team actually changes.

We don't simulate pressure. We put your leaders in environments — alpine ridgelines, technical cave systems, multi-day river traverses, remote backcountry — where the decisions are real, the weather doesn't care about your Q4, and the only way out is through. Then we run a structured leadership progression on top of it.

Operationally Credible

Built by people who've operated under genuine consequence.

Derek Morris — combat veteran, engineer, expedition leader across mountain, water, and remote wilderness. Adam runs operations and safety governance. WFR/WEMT minimums on every lead guide. AMGA-credentialed technical leads. Documented SOPs, EAPs, and Garmin inReach on every team. Your General Counsel will be comfortable with the paperwork.

Real Environments

Colorado alpine. Florida cave country. Andean traverses.

No ropes courses. No "simulated" anything. Your leadership team navigates terrain, weather, fatigue, and team dynamics where decisions actually matter — under the eye of guides who run AARs the way operations groups do, not the way HR consultants do.

Structured Curriculum

Field operations as the classroom — not the gimmick.

Pre-engagement diagnostic with your executive sponsor. Daily evening debriefs with documented frameworks: decision-making under uncertainty, role clarity under load, escalation thresholds, after-action review discipline. Post-expedition individual and team reports delivered within 14 days.

Built To Stick

The engagement doesn't end at extraction.

Every corporate cohort gets a 90-day integration loop: 7-day team AAR, 30-day individual coaching check-ins, 90-day on-site or virtual reconvene with your executive sponsor. Optional alumni pathway into our Tribe membership for ongoing leadership development.

03 // Engagement Models

Three formats. All custom-scoped.

We do not run open-enrollment corporate retreats. Every engagement is scoped against your team's specific operational reality — who's in the room, what's actually broken, and what "more capable" looks like on the other side.

FORMAT 01 · DOMESTIC

Operational Leadership Intensive

3–4 days · $25K–$40K · 6–10 leaders

Colorado alpine traverse or Appalachian backcountry. Ideal for engineering leadership teams, founder cohorts, and operational VPs who need a high-signal engagement without an international logistics footprint.

Curriculum Anchors
  • — Decision-making under fatigue & uncertainty
  • — Role clarity when conditions change
  • — Structured AAR discipline
  • — Individual leadership profile + team report
FORMAT 02 · TECHNICAL

Multi-Domain Resilience Engagement

5–7 days · $40K–$60K · 8–12 leaders

North Florida springs / cave country plus a transition into a backcountry phase. Two distinct environments force a leadership team to operate outside its dominant comfort domain. Strongest fit for cross-functional executive groups.

Curriculum Anchors
  • — Operating outside core competence
  • — Trust calibration with mixed-skill teams
  • — Escalation thresholds & comms discipline
  • — 90-day post-engagement integration loop
FORMAT 03 · INTERNATIONAL

Flagship Expedition Engagement

8–10 days · $55K–$75K · 6–10 leaders

Cordillera Blanca (Peru) or Belize cave/reef integration. For executive teams and founder peer cohorts who want a generational shared experience — and a development pressure that domestic engagements simply cannot reproduce.

Curriculum Anchors
  • — Leadership across cultural & logistical complexity
  • — Sustained performance under altitude / load
  • — Identity & succession conversations
  • — Documentary-grade engagement footage delivered
All engagements include: Executive sponsor diagnostic call · pre-engagement individual readiness assessments · daily structured debriefs · post-expedition individual leadership profile + aggregate team report · 7-day team AAR · 30-day individual coaching check-ins · 90-day reconvene. Insurance, permits, lodging, transport, guides, and meals included in stated investment range.

04 // Who This Is For

A short, honest filter.

Our corporate engagements work for a specific kind of organization. We'd rather tell you up front than waste your scoping call.

Strong Fit
  • Engineering & technical leadership teams — particularly at firms scaling past 50 engineers where senior IC-to-manager transitions are breaking.
  • Veteran-led companies — founders and executive teams who already understand operational vocabulary and want development that matches it.
  • Founder peer cohorts — YPO-adjacent, EO chapters, founder networks running an annual flagship experience.
  • Operational executive teams — COO offices, plant leadership, field-operations leadership in industrial, energy, and defense-adjacent sectors.
  • Special operations & first-responder leadership — agency leadership, fire and SAR command teams, federal team leads investing in succession development.
Probably Not A Fit
  • "Reward trip" use cases. If you want a sales President's Club, this isn't it. Try a luxury operator.
  • Teams with no executive sponsor. Without a sponsor running the integration loop, the engagement won't stick. We won't take the contract.
  • Mandatory participation. Every participant is individually screened. Voluntary commitment is non-negotiable for safety and outcome.
  • Single-event procurement. If you're checking a box for an annual offsite, we're not the right vendor. The integration loop is the work.
  • Groups larger than 14. We won't scale past small-team standards. We can run sequential cohorts instead.
05 // How Procurement Works

A clean process for your L&D, Legal, and Finance teams.
